One of Believe It’s primary vehicles for promoting inclusion is sending physically challenged kids to a summer camp session alongside typical kids at T Bar M Camps (Camp Hope.) Camp is one of the most, lasting, rewarding experiences children can have. It builds self-esteem and gives kids a sense of independence. It also exposes both types of kids to activities (zip-lining, the Blob, theme nights, archery, paintball, canoeing, water skiing) and ideas that they might never experience otherwise, including working through obstacles that might keep someone from being included.
